Some suggestions for cleaning and caring for stainless steel surfaces:
-Use stainless steel cleaner and polish. Visit our accessory shop for WPro products
-Use liquid detergent or all-purpose cleaner. Rinse with clean water and dry with soft, lint-free cloth.
-Use vinegar for hard water spots
Do not use soap-filled scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, Cooktop Polishing Cream, steel-wool pads, gritty wash cloths. or some paper towels. Damage can occur.
The Crisp function uses three heat sources at the same time. This allows you to use the special crisp plate that maintains a temperature of 210 degrees C (the perfect temperature for crisping). The crisp plate enables you to brown sausages, crisp bacon , produce perfect pizzas and even fry eggs.
Gas flexible hoses have a temperature rating that can vary from one manufacturer to another. Because of all the possible variants when installing the gas cooktop, the temperature around the hose could rise above what is recommended by the hose manufacturer. Therefore the fitting of a flexible hose is not approved for safety reasons.
This will occur when a cooking vessel has been placed too close or directly on top of the knobs.
The use of aerosol cans of insect spray, deodorants, repellents, stove cleaners, food preservatives etc... must be avoided in the proximity of the cooktop, when the cooktop is in operation. These propellents at normal temperatures are non corrosive, however when heated to approximately 200 degrees Celsius, the vapour that these chemicals give off will attack metals and are also extremely lethal. This could show up as staining or rusting of the metal parts on the cooktop.
This is caused by using the wrong pots on your ceramic cooktop. Good quality pots should be used (Stainless steel pots with flat bases) otherwise damage may occur to the pot or surface of the cooktop
Cleaning instructions must be followed. Abrasion can occur when the wrong cleaning agents are used. For cleaning instructions follow the use and care guide.
The Whirlpool 6AKP range of ovens are designed this way. The gap in the seal is for venting purposes.
Customers may experience fumes or a burning smell on the first operation. This is normal. It is a protective coating that is around the element(s) during manufacture. Also occurs after long periods of non use or from splatters during cooking.
This is caused by not having enough clearance between the rangehood and cooktop. When installing a gas cooktop it is important that the distance between the top of the highest burner and the bottom of the rangehood is at least 750mm. This may be contrary to what is stated in the rangehood specifications, where it may state a lower distance. The reason for this is that the manufacturer of the rangehood may not have considered that the rangehood may be installed above a cooktop that is fitted with a wok burner. A wok burner generates more heat than a conventional burner, hence a greater mounting height is required.
Ducting pipe is not supplied with the rangehood. Ducting pipe can be sourced from plumbing or ducting suppliers.
If the rangehood is recirculating air back into the kitchen and the consumer cooks oily or fatty foods then a carbon filter should be considered. Depending on style or type of cooking the carbon filter may need to be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
The rangehood must be installed securely to the kitchen cabinet and/or wall. If the installation instructions are not followed then the customer may experience excessive vibrating noises during operation.
For Whirlpool Top Mount refrigerators you should leave 5cm on the top and sides and 10cm behind the appliance. This will allow heat to be dispersed easily and reduce energy costs.
For Whirlpool Side by Sides, our minimum clearance recommended is 10mm sides, back and top. These products need less clearance because they ventilate the heat from the front mounted base grill.
Clean both the refrigerator and freezer compartments about once a month to prevent odours from building up. Wipe up spills immediately. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power. Remove all removable parts from inside, such as shelves, crispers, etc. Hand wash, rinse, and dry removable parts and interior surfaces thoroughly, using a clean sponge or soft cloth and mild detergent in warm water. Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners such as window sprays, scouring cleansers, flammable fluids, cleaning waxes, concentrated detergents, bleaches or cleansers containing petroleum products on plastic parts interior and door liners or gaskets. Do not use paper towels, scouring pads, or other harsh cleaning tools. These can scratch or damage materials. To help remove odors, you can wash interior walls with a mixture of warm water and baking soda (2 tbs. to 1 qt (26 g to .95 L) of water).
Wash stainless steel and painted metal exteriors with a clean sponge or soft cloth and mild detergent in warm water. Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. For additional protection against damage to painted metal exteriors, apply appliance wax with a clean, soft cloth. Do not wax plastic parts.
The water filter is mounted in the plinth grill below the doors. It is removed by turning anti-clockwise about a quarter of a turn and pulling forward.
The filter handle is transferred to the new filter, by sliding off, and is refitted by inserting with the handle in the vertical position and rotating clockwise until it stops. The filter must be rotated completely, to open an internal valve, allowing water to flow. Note: you do not need to turn off the water tap to remove the filter.
This depends on the hardness of your water and the soil in your clothing. Softened water requires quite a bit less detergent than hard water—yet the more soiled the clothes, the more detergent you need to clean them. See the instructions on the detergent package for specific guidelines. If soap suds remain at the end of the cycle, you are probably using too much detergent.
a. Remove packaging and check that the accessories and supplied parts are all present.
